World’s most expensive car-on sale in India

The fastest and most expensive production car in the world is now for sale in India. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport supercar was unveiled at a car dealership on New Delhi on Thursday. This car is priced at a whooping 3.6 million dollars. To those who are thinking of buying it, you’d better decide now because only 150 of these will be released in the international market. According to Julius Kruta, an executive from Bugatti, “India is the hub of luxury, the country of the erstwhile Maharajas, who were the true patrons of bespoke luxury.” India is now one of the target markets for luxury vehicles because the fast-developing economy is producing more and more millionaires every year. India is said to have a record of 69 billionaires which make it the perfect market for a car like the Bugatti Veyron.

Now India might have a lot of billionaires, however, it also has a huge number of underprivileged citizens-about 836 million of them who manage to survive on 45 cents a day. Now this reminds of the Philippines. The Philippines is a country where the rich are really rich and the poor are really poor. There is a large gap-quiet the size of the Grand Canyon actually-between the rich and the poor. And I guess that is what we have in common with India. Imagine that one man can buy a car that costs 3.6 million dollars while most of his countrymen can barely eat. Tsk,tsk. But that’s just the way life is. Besides with a car that looks as good as this, I would not mind spending a few million-provided of course that I’m a billionaire to begin with. Right guys? :)
